澳大利亞商工辦事處成立於1981年。由代表華適文先生所帶領,本辦事處目前約有六十多位的員工,其中包括澳洲派駐及台灣本地聘請的同仁。澳大利亞商工辦事處整體架構反映出澳台關係的多重性質。澳大利亞商工辦事處位於台北市統一國際大樓,包括澳洲貿易投資中心、教育處(澳洲教育中心)、澳大利亞簽證服務處、領事暨行政處,以及包含媒體暨文化組和政策研究組的經濟暨政策處。

The ACIO, which represents Australian interests in Taiwan, has the following vacancy:
Director, Education Section (Full-time)
Managing a small team, this position is a unique opportunity to represent
Australia internationally and lead the ACIO’s education section. You will have
high level analytical and representational skills and the ability to establish and
engage in education dialogue with officials, as well as assisting to develop
opportunities for Australian education providers. You will be required to maintain
existing and establish new linkages with local agencies, institutions and
organisations. Additionally you will promote Australia’s education capabilities,
identify market opportunities and promote study in Australia.
Candidates are expected to commence duties in Canberra in May 2008 prior to
starting Taipei in July 2008. Appointment will be initially on a one year contract
basis including a probationary period. The annual salary range is NTD 2,600,000
to 2,900,000(approximately AU$90521- AU$101096) depending on experience
and qualifications plus local bonuses and pension and allowances. Applicants
must have Australian citizenship (not dual citizenship) and will be required to
undergo a security assessment. Please note this is a locally engaged position.
There are no additional expatriate benefits available however ACIO will assist the
